Panasonic Industrial Company is responsible for Matsushita's products in the U.S. The company has reported sales of $700 million for 1983, which accounts for one-quarter of Matsushita's sales in the U.S. Products range from industrial and electronic equipment, commercial and professional audio, video equipment, office equipment, personal computers, optical files and home appliances. The company has established the policy of using American personnel to handle American customers.

Matsushita Keeps Upgrading Operate 7000 Series of PCs

Article Abstract:

The Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. will enhance its 16-bit Operate 7000 line of personal computers (PCs) for the second time. The improvements will come in peripherals and software. A flat-bed image scanner will be provided. A 40Mbyte floppy will be introduced, making expansion up to 53Mbytes possible. Compatibility with IBM and Fujitsu systems will be added. A photograph of the Operate 7000 is shown.
