Among its products are the CamPhoto and the 350,000-pixel SDC-350, which has a 1.8-inch color LCD monitor to view the recorded images. The company also offers devices for quick data transfers between the camera and a computer, with its CFR-200 CompactFlash card reader and for users without access to a PC, there is the CamGenie direct printer for connection to ink-jet printers.

BTO specialist offers notebooks easy to assemble, take apart

Mitac International Corp. of Taiwan, is marketing build-to-order (BTO) notebook computers that can be assembled and disassembled with ease. The company uses a design that allows the disassembly of all the major components of the notebook computer, including the LCD, the motherboard, the microprocessor, the main memory, the hard disc drive and the CD-ROM drive. Mitac, which offers two types of BTO services to its clients, maintains that its new design is capable of cutting costs by up to 30% to 45%.
