Article Abstract:
Learning problem solving skills is more important than concentrating on specific programming languages. Unfortunately, today's elementary schools tend to teach languages such as BASIC instead of how to use the computer as a tool. Secondary schools also stress learning languages over business productivity packages. Colleges and universities, on the other hand, are teaching the use of productivity tools. It is necessary to refocus the computer curriculum of the elementary and secondary schools.
