Fujitsu Lifebook 635T: ultralight, versatile and affordable
Article Abstract:
Fujitsu's $2,799 635T is a portable computer for traveling users that combines light weight with a range of functions. LifeBook 635T, which weighs slightly more than four pounds, contains a 133MHz Pentium processor and 256K of L2 cache. An easily-attachable Enhancement Unit allows the LifeBook 635T to serve as a full functional standard portable computer. Both the CD-ROM drive and floppy drive perform effectively and dependably. A 12.1-inch active matrix display, with its 800x600 resolution, offers ample clarity and brightness. The LifeBook 635T battery also operates with batteries. Drawbacks include flat and awkwardly-arranged keys, plus occasional difficulty in executing cursor and mouse-button commands. The LifeBook 635T would benefit students and salespeople, who can carry the computer frequently to gather information and then attach the Enhancement Unit.
