In Japan, climbing digital sales offset sliding demand for analog models
Article Abstract:
The Japanese copier market is now almost stagnant overall due to slow sales of analog copiers, but the market is getting a boost from the increasing sales of the digital models. Industy forecasts show that the overall market for copiers will remain the same in FY 1998, but the sales of digital copiers will increase 10% or more and the segment will account for approximately 40% of copier sales in the country.
