Sanyo Electric Company Ltd is offering the lightweight, portable LP-XG100 LC projector developed with travelling professionals in mind. The projector offers a brightness of 1,400 ANSI lumens through the use of polysilicon thin-film transistor (TFT) active-matrix driving with micro lens technology. The use of the company's Digital Realized Interpolation Technology (DRIT) and Hybrid Enhanced Processing Technology (HEPT) allows the LP-XG100 to improve computer video images. The XGA-compatible projector also offers digital zooming and freeze functions.

Sharp Corp is offering the ultra-lightweight, wireless XG-NV5XE Notevision 5 LCD video and data projector that requires no cable to present digital images. The mobile projector features an infrared interface, called IrCOM, that adopts the Infrared Data Association (IrDA) standards for wireless links among electronic products. Notevision 5 also offers zooming functios, excellent picture quality, and luminance that tops 600 ANSI lumens.
