Data projector incorporates DLP system

NEC Home Electronics, Ltd.'s ViewLight Mobile MB800 data projector has the digital light processing (DLP) system developed by Texas Instruments Inc. of the US. The data projector, which is valued at $898,000 yen ($7,071), is capable of producing XGA images at 600 ANSI lumens and is fully compatible with SVGA images. NEC Home Electronics has also released three other projector models in the series, including the ViewLight X1020 liquid crystal projector, the ViewLight S820 and the ViewLight V620.

Toshiba Corp's TLP710J and TLP711J projectors target demanding users who want projector that offer exceptional clarity, flexibility and brightness. The TLP710J and TLP711J, which are capable of showing XGA images at 1,024 X 768 dots, are two of the brightest portable projectors to date because they have can deliver 1,350 lumens (ANSI). Toshiba's TLP710J and TLP711J projectors are available for Y1.1 million and Y1.3 million respectively.
