Article Abstract:

The corporate offices at Moog Inc.'s Missile Systems Division offer a pleasant working atmosphere in a high technology manufacturing operation. Emphasis is placed on the human dignity and individual worth of employees. The building, comprised of four octagons, features an appropriate color scheme, a well-planned spatial arrangement, practical sun shades, furniture systems encouraging open communications, a thermal energy system, and a specially designed computer usage and networking system. Several photographs and floor plans are included. Moog Inc. was awarded the 'Office of the Year' First Award for 1984.

The Changing Character of Printers

Article Abstract:

Non-impact printers are expected to become increasingly popular as technologies mature, cost decreases and reliability increases. Among non-impact printers discussed are laser, ink jet, electronic, and dot matrix. Although high priced, these printers offer speed and good quality printing. In comparison, daisywheel printers offer dependability, proven performance and familiarity, all at a relatively low price. Because no printer encompasses all features at a low price, there is still room for technological advancement. Small photographs show twenty-three printers.
