Notebook computer incorporates Windows98

Sony Corp. manufactures the PCG-808 notebook computer, which includes a preinstalled Windows98 operating system. The product represents the high-end model of the VAIO line, which now has six models of the same dimension of 297mm by 236.5mm. PCG-808, which is expected to be retailed at $3,546, has a 13.3-inch-XGA thin-film transistor LCD as well as a Pentium II 266MHz processor and batteries that can last for eight hours. The notebook computer also has a new graphic accelerator for full-color displays of the XGA LCDs.

Elmo Company Ltd's EDP-5100 LCD data projector, which is XGA compatible, provides advanced features for vivid and bright images. In addition, the EDP-5100, which accepts NTSC, SECAM, Super VGA, VGA and PAL formats, accommodates three 1.3-in polysilicon thin-film transistor LCD panels. The projection system enables its users to enlarge all images to maximum size regardless of the signal format. Other features of EDP-5100 include quiet ventilation, on-screen displays and universal-compatible AC adapters.
