Optical Disk File Use Expected to Accelerate
Article Abstract:
Optical disk file systems and media are forming an integral part of the office automation market. These systems store text and graphic data. They provide for the easy entry and retrieval of documents. A large volume of data can be stored in a small space, such as 20,000 A-4 pages on a 30 cm-diameter disk. The information is recorded by means of image information or code. Companies are focusing upon the development of disks that provide for the erasing and recording of information. Larger corporations are expressing the most interest in optical file equipment.
