Article Abstract:
Timesharing is a method of buying an asset without having to buy the whole property and without the worry about maintaining the property full time. Timesharing began in the United Kingdom and spread to the United States. Timesharing began as a business practice and spread to individual users. Exchange programs have begun whereby a market has developed to swap or sell timesharing privileges. Examples of the development and use of timesharing by businesses are given.
