The large-format printer market is expected to benefit from the growing demand for large documents with fine quality at low costs. The signboard industry accounts for 46.2% of the current large-format market and is also the most important segment of the market. However, market share for the signboard busness is projected to drop to 20.8% in 2002 with the increased use of large-format printers by the printing industry and ordinary enterprises.

Minolta Company Ltd's exhibit at CeBIT '99 in Hannover, Germany, held from Mar 18, 1999 to Mar 24, 1999, featured its latest line of digital copiers and laser printers. These include the PagePro 25 laser printer that combines a PowerPC603eRISC processor with a 25ppm print engine to deliver fast printing output. Other products shown are Minolta's latest line of DiALTA digital copiers that include the Di250, Di520, Di620 and Di350.
