Brunswick Corp will pay $65 million to settle two lawsuits against it. The Lake Forest, IL-based company will pay $30 million to settle a class action antitrust lawsuit filed by Alumacraft Boat Co and KK Motors and $35 million to American Boatbuilders Assn members. Industry observers say that the settlement is a ploy by Brunswick to reduce its potential liability that could possibly stem from an antitrust case filed by Independent Boatbuilders Inc.
