Budget offers industry little cheer
Article Abstract:
The construction industry has welcomed moves in the UK government's 1995 budget to bring private finance into the health, prison and road sectors. However, the budget is generally seen as having done little to help the construction industry. There are fears that private finance will not be sufficient to balance out public spending reductions, and industry leaders are disappointed that the government has made no move to directly assist the housing market.
