Current rate case gets short shrift at forum
Article Abstract:
Mailers and heads of trade associations noted the lack of discussions over the current postal rate case at the Spring National Postal Forum, especially since postal rates could be increased soon. Neal Denton, executive director of the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers, said the US Postal Service (USPS) did not mention that postal rates would be increased within the next few weeks. The USPS is asking the Postal Rate Commission to reverse its order slashing the average postal rate increase from 6% to 4.6%.
