Experian expands catalog database to go against Abacus
Article Abstract:
Experian is scheduled on Oct 16, 2000 to announce the expansion of the platform and modeling capabilities of its Z-24 cooperative catalog database. As part of this effort, the company has increased its analytical modeling staff to 60 from around 10 employees to offer better custom models for Z-24 customers. Another factor for the expansion is the need to compete with Abacus Direct's Abacus Alliance catalog database. Experian's Z-24 database has over 590 catalog titles, serving 65 million homes.
