Fuel costs hurting USPS, Potter says

The United States Postal Service (USPS) vehicles consumed 800 million gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel annually. The Postmaster general John E. Potter said that the drastic increase in fuel costs was harming the USPS as high fuel prices increased heating and electricity costs for the postal service's 38,000 facilities.
