Growth may be slowing after a strong first half

The boating industry is seeing an upsurge in it's sales in the second quarter of 2004, though this growth is termed as slow in comparison to the first quarter.While in the second quarter sales growth was over 6.5% over the previous comparable quarter, first quarter sales showed an increase of 8.4%. The sales growth of different builders and market shares of manufacturers has been discussed and statistical data represented.

3rd-quarter sales down; 4th off to a strong start

The boating centers of California and Texas showed low results in the third quarter of the year 2002 with sales of fiberglass boats showing a loss of 6.2 percent and aluminum boats showing a loss of 2.7 percent. The companies with higher shares were Brunswick Boat Group with 17.7 percent, Genmar Holdings at 16.9 percent, and Tracker Marine at 4 percent, Yamaha at 3.2 percent and Marine Products at 3.1 percent.
