Multi-section growth highlights midyear
Article Abstract:
The manufactured housing industry is expected to achieve promising results for its 1997 shipments of multi-section homes, despite a drop of 2.9% to 176,767 in 1996. About 98,000 of multi-section homes have been forwarded, including 55.4% of the HUD-Code home mix, a figure that is 6% higher compared with that of 1996. Single-section numbers have, however, dropped in 1997. The top five states in overall shipments include North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
