International posts eye the future
Article Abstract:
Dutch postal service TPG, UK's Royal Mail and the Singapore Post have formed a joint venture that will create an international mail company. The new company will be based in Belgium, serving more than 200 countries, with annual revenues of $450 million annually. TPG will be the majority shareholder, with a 51% stake, while the Royal Mail and the Singapore Post would each have a 24.5% interest. The three postal organizations also agreed to explore the development of their domestic networks.
