Rocketboard eyes new Internet users

New York, NY-based Rocketboard Inc will start marketing a Web keyboard for only $7.95 in Apr 2000. The company aims to get 100,000 keyboards in users' hands within the year. Its target market consists of senior citizens and computer users who have been online for fewer than six months. Rocketboard Inc will generate revenue through purchases made using the keyboard which has 18 keys that provide access to over 300 Web merchants that have entered into sales-based agreements with Rocketboard.

Musician site banks on subscription revenue

BookLiveMusic.com has debuted its flagship Web site of the same name that offers subscriptions to music entertainers who want to be listed online. The site offers the musicians a Web page with a photo and contact information such as e-mail address and phone number. The site has signed 1,000 entertainers, largely because of BookLiveMusic's co-marketing agreement with the American Federation of Musicians.
