New standards guide growth of MB systems
Article Abstract:
The American Society for Testing and Materials has approved product standards for various types of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) and atactic polypropylene (APP) modified bitumens. The approval gives standard numbers to three SBS products and two APP products, making it easier for contractors to identify these products and know their specifications. Moreover, the standards require suppliers to indicate on package labels information such as granule adhesion, minimum coating thickness and net coverage.
