Norwegian rail tunnel uses new computerised drill rigs

The contract for a twin-track railroad tunnel project connecting Skoyen, Oslo, with Asker municipality, has been awarded by the Norwegian National Rail Administration (Jernbaneverket) to Mika A/S. The equipment used is the Tamrock Axera DATA tunneling jumbos, which have helped the company to successfully complete the project.

It has been awarded with a combined bridge and tunnel construction project in Korea, worth up to $1100 million.
