Online donations exceed expectations at diabetes group
Article Abstract:
The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDF) has raised more than $50,000 from 230 donors since it started accepting donations through its Web site. Robert Moulthrop, director of communications at JDF, said the organization spent nine months before it began receiving contributions online. He added that they wanted their Web site to be a reflection of JDF. Its Web site does not have any flashing banners or a highlighted area to get people's attention. It simply has a 'Make a Donation' button at the top right-hand side of the page.
