Direct Media has appointed Jerry Schillinger as CEO, succeeding founder David Florence, who would continue to play a role in product development and provide guidance to the staff. Schillenger spent 10 years at Spiegel, rising to the position of circulation and marketing manager. While at Spiegel, he oversaw the management of a $50 million acquisition advertising budget, including the circulation of 50 million prospect catalogs. He was also the founder and president of Spilsburgy Inc, a direct-response puzzle and game cataloger and Internet retailer.
