Very much more obliged
Article Abstract:
The law relating to negligence in the UK has been affected by a number of cases which mean that professionals in the construction industry are more likely to be sued. Changes affect the ability of third parties to take action against professionals. One such case involves two daughters who were left without an inheritance although their father had instructed his lawyers to rewrite his will in their favor. The daughters had no relationship with the lawyers but it was decided that they had a special relationship due to the circumstances of the case.

What became of GMP?
Article Abstract:
The use of construction industry GMP contracts is declining in the UK during the late 1990s, as workloads increase and firms find clients unwilling to sign contracts which are too legally binding. GMP contracts were used mainly in the 1990s, when commissions were not as plentiful. The emphasis of GMP contracts fell mainly on contractors, who were obliged to conform with conditions which many would find unacceptable during the late 1990s, due to the difference in the economic situation.
