1991-99 Ford Explorer
Article Abstract:
Ford Motor Co's 1991-1999 Explorer models are easy to enter into and depart from because of a relatively low step-in height. Head room is generous all around. Controls are simple, visibility good and analog gauges are clearly legible. Acceleration from the ohv V-6 engine is adequate and stability is reasonable. The automatic transmission responds neatly and shifts almost flawlessly. These Explorers offer the utility of minivans and hauling power of trucks. They are not cheap, however.

1994-99 Ford Mustang
Article Abstract:
All Ford Motor Co Mustang models take quick corners smartly. However, a softened suspension enables base cars in this generation to ride with only modest jarring that is considerably less shocking than in the past. Acceleration is adequate with the V-6 engine using either manual or automatic transmission. Wet-weather traction continues to be a problem with these model-year cars. This generation represents a major improvement, with cars being more user-friendly for everyday driving.
