1998-99 Honda Accord
Article Abstract:
American Honda's 1998-1999 Accord models feature silky, revvy, quiet and considerably powerful engines. The V-6 engines make for rapid getaways and ample passing power in these models. With either engine, the automatic transmission generally provides nearly-flawless upshifts even during hard acceleration. Smooth and responsive downshifts for passing or merging are attained much of the time. Fuel economy is a bonus, especially in models with four-cylinder engines.

1990-93 Honda Accord
Article Abstract:
American Honda's 1990-1993 Accord models feature smoother, quieter, four- cylinder engines. However, takeoff and apssing response are not brisk enough to match the V-6 engines offered by the competition. Moreover, the automatic transmission can be jerky and harsh on occasion. Fuel economy is exceptional with any model. The virtues of this generation of Accords outweigh its drawbacks and continue to make these cars impressive in terms of overall performance.

1994-97 Honda Accord
Article Abstract:
American Honda's 1994-1997 Accord models represented the best to-date generation of Accords ever to be produced. The 1994-1996 models feel considerably more substantial than their predcessors, with four-cylinder performance being adequate for most driving needs. However, the additional potency afforded by the V-6 engine is handy in passing situations. The automatic transmission continues to lag behind the competition in shift quality.
