There are now many different dietary supplements available in the UK, and consumers are becoming very confused about exactly what each product is. Producers are banned by law from making medicinal claims for their products, but many consumers still take these products in the hope of curing a specific medical problem. There is no compulsory testing for safety of dietary supplements, and these means that some could even be damaging to health.
