Bank balancing
Article Abstract:
It is still common for UK banks and building societies to make mistakes with customers' current accounts, and it is therefore vital to monitor bank statements carefully. Mistakes are made most commonly by Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale, with Halifax and Alliance and Leicester making least mistakes. Overall, customers seem most satisfied with the standard of service offered by Clydesdale and TSB, with Barclays and NatWest being rated the lowest.

Paper wait
Article Abstract:
Recent investigations have revealed that UK banks and building societies can take a considerable length of time to clear cheques. In delaying releasing funds to customers, they are earning a great deal of interest to which they are not really entitled. In many cases, cheques are also not cleared within the time stated by the bank or building society concerned, and this deprives customers unfairly of funds.
