Colour print films
Article Abstract:
A study of 29 different 35mm colour print films reveals that performance depends on film speed and brand. Slow speed films offer better picture quality, but cannot be used in all cameras. Best picture quality results from standard speed film, although fast film works best in low light situations. The Agfacolor XRG 100 was rated highest of the standard films, while the Agfacolor XRG 400 performed best in the fast speed category.

Screen for good health
Article Abstract:
The existing national health screening programmes for cervical and breast cancer in the UK appear to be very successful. This has prompted calls to establish screening programmes for other conditions, such as bowel and prostate cancer. However, such programmes could be extremely expensive, and some observers believe that the money would be better used in areas such as research.
