Crowd safety
Article Abstract:
Major entertainments and sports events which attract large crowds generally have good safety standards. However, an expert in building safety visiting 13 major events found that some had problems. Differences in procedure for safety were noted at football matches and other kinds of events. Another problem was differing interpretations on carrying out the main safety guidelines.

Safety in numbers?
Article Abstract:
Crowd safety still needs to be improved at some events taking place in the United Kingdom. Safety standards at the UB40 concert at Milton Keynes' National Bowl were good, but were poor at the Bucks County Show. There needs to be more independent licensing of events, and organisers should be required to have safety certificates and advisory groups.
