Data Protection Act
Article Abstract:
The UK's new Data Protection Act 1998 will be introduced in 1999 and will increase the need to safely dispose of information. The new act will give individuals more rights to question companies storing data on them and may force companies to destroy stored information that is not used. Many shredder manufacturers are expecting the new act to increase their sales, with growth in the sector set to increase in the second half of 1999.
