Various Australian electricity companies are offering consumers alternatives to normal power resources. These include systems that generate electricity via wind, solar energy and hydro power. Because there is growing concern over demand for energy resources and their impact on the environment, consumers are willing to pay more for their electricity to provide additional funds for the development of `green' or renewable power sources.

Article Abstract:

Organic farming is a system of farming that not only avoids synthetic pesticides, but also focuses on sustainability and environmental sensitivity. Consumers are interested in organic foods for these reasons, and also for health, taste and nutrition. Organic foods may cost more, and shoppers will only find produce that is naturally in season. Also, tests show that organic foods do not necessary taste better or contain more nutrients.
