Insurance if you have health problems
Article Abstract:
Insurers can decide not to insure, or insist on high premium rates, to people they consider to be high-risk because they have health problems. It is important to disclose any problems and not to withhold information. An insurance company may insist on a report from a person's GP or request they have a medical. Genetic testing can be used to determine a person's susceptibility to particular diseases. The British Diabetic Association and the British Epilepsy Association can arrange specialist insurance cover for sufferers.
