New homes hit a snag

Low customer satisfaction among new homeowners identified in the Barker Review which called for an investigation by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to deal with defect problem is presented. The Home Builders Federation announced a voluntary code of conduct setting out what buyers of new homes could expect before, during and after their purchase, which does not comply with the OFT's blueprint.

Bite back: Survey results
Article Abstract:
'Bite Back' is the largest consumer consultation, which conducted a recent survey to rate the problems faced by consumers and the changes they preferred in eight key areas ranging from health to food and shoppers' rights. The result showed that 93% of the consumers thought the quality of hospital services to be more important than having a choice of hospitals.
