Article Abstract:
A survey has revealed that Waitrose supermarkets stock the most extensive range of organic fruit and vegetables. The research examined organic produce at seven supermarket chains, including Tesco, Somerfield, Sainsbury's, Safeway, Marks & Spencer, and Co-op. Waitrose stores stocked between 17 and 37 different types of organic produce. Marks & Spencer and Co-op were found to stock the smallest range of organic products.

Pesticides in fruit and veg
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning pesticide residues in fruit and vegetables sold in the UK are discussed. There are persistent pesticide problems with lettuce, pears, strawberries, celery, apples and carrots. The safest products are green beans, spring onions, Brussels sprouts, turnips, radishes, frozen peas, garlic, cabbages, swedes and baby vegetables.

Are fruit drinks healthy?

Many of the UK's most popular fruit juice drinks contain a lot of sugar and are highly acidic. Drinks marketed as 'low sugar' or 'no added sugar' usually contain artificial sweeteners.
