So what is the true price?
Article Abstract:
It is extremely difficult to compare the cost of holidays offered by UK travel agents. Similarly, it is hard to ascertain whether a last-minute holiday deal really does offer good value compared with the original price. Most consumers are unaware that special offers may be more or less expensive than the brochure price, or may not even be in the brochure at all. Tour operators are not obliged to comply with their advertised prices, and this means that prices can change very frequently.

So much for bargain holidays
Article Abstract:
UK travel agents frequently advertise a wide range of inexpensive last-minute holiday deals. However, research reveals that many of these deals are not actually available. Travel agents fail to update their windows regularly, and many of the holidays advertised have been sold already. Furthermore, it is common for last-minute holiday deals to prove to be more expensive than the advertised price. Holiday availability was poor in all the travel agents surveyed.
