Is 'healthy' ice cream too good to be true?
Article Abstract:
Six alternatives to ice cream, including frozen yogurt, were compared with similar ice cream products for taste and calories. Different amounts of air are whipped in, but the consumer cannot judge this as packs are marked with volume not weight. The difference between dairy ice cream, premium, Cornish, non-milk fat and soft scoop is explained. Most alternatives tasted good but had more sugar and calories than ordinary products. Testers did not like the flavour of those lowest in fat.
