Videoconferencing on your PC
Article Abstract:
Videoconferencing, although possibly beneficial, is expensive and many smaller companies are unable to justify such expenditure. However, it is anticipated that the new MMX technology will put videoconferencing within the reach of small companies. Desktop videoconferencing uses a PC to allow users to share data and files. Players in this market include computer equipment suppliers, resellers and videoconferencing makers. Among the products available are Sony's TriniCom 500 Plus with a built-in microphone, and PictureTel's Live200, which includes a microphone, headset and camera.
