21 washing machines were tested for reliability, convenience, running costs and value for money. The best washing machine tested was the Bosch WFF 2000 at 500 pounds sterling, using little water and electricity. The Electrolux EW1006F at 350 pounds sterling also cleaned well and was easy to use. The Ocean Premier 1000 costs 400 pounds sterling washing well but doors and controls were not easy to use. The Zanussi AMIE FL 1083 was easy to use and costs 430 pounds sterling.
