Binary minor planets
Article Abstract:
Various observations and theories with respect to binary asteroids and binary trans-Neptunian objects (collectively, binary minor planets (BMPs)) are presented. These are discovered using a combination of direct imaging, lightcurve analysis and a radar, found throughout the Solar System and present a challenge for theorists modeling their formation in the context of Solar System evolution.

The Yarkovsky and YORP effects: Implications for asteroid dynamics
Article Abstract:
The ways in which nongravitational forces affect asteroids are discussed and the main points of classical asteroid evolution are summarized. A Monte-Carol code is constructed that can track the evolution of asteroids in order to determine the ages of older asteroid families more heavily influenced by Yarkovsky and YORP (Yarkovsky-O'Keefe-Radzievskii-Paddack) effects.

Space weathering of asteroid surfaces
Article Abstract:
Visible and near infrared spectra of reflected sunlight from asteroid surfaces exhibit features that hold the promise for identifying surface mineralogy. A review of the intellectual history this topic revels the complexity of interdisciplinary research on far away astronomical bodies.
