Article Abstract:
D.H. Mooers claims that the ice margin used for Minnesota which was taken from studies done by Dyke and Prest in 1987 was incorrect. He believes that the ice dome southwest of Hudson Bay may have been smaller. A reconstruction of the Laurentide ice sheet was done again using 21,000-22,000 14C year B.P. as suggested by Mooers. The results obtained agrees with Mooers' contention that an ice dome southwest of the Hudson Bay is 600 meters shorter than what it would have been had it been reconstructed using Dyke and Prest's ice margin.

Reef drowning during the last deglaciation: evidence for catastrophic sea-level rise and ice-sheet collapse
Article Abstract:
The conceptual model developed by Blanchon and Shaw attributed the occurrence of two rapid sea-level-rise events, climatic changes and the downwind effects in the North Atlantic basin to the collapse of the Laurentide ice sheet. The earliest sea-level-rise event showed a radiocarbon age between 14,230 and 13,800 year B.P. The data is flawed because it is inconsistent with the records presented by other researchers and predicts warming instead of cooling as a consequence of the events.

Article Abstract:
Clark attributed catastrophic sea-level rise to ice-sheet collapse based on studies using deep-sea dates of deglacial events. This argument is unreliable because it fails to consider the effect of bioturbation on deep-sea sediment conditions. Furthermore, ice-rafted detritus from sampled deep-sea cores have high variability and gives a smaller and younger age range for the sediment fabrics.
