It is posited that for an industry in which multi-product companies use Constant Elasticity of Substitution (CES) cost functions, the sustainable configuration does not suggest the existence of a multiplicity of multi-product companies.

The Economic Efficiency of Policy Reform and Partial Market Liberalization under Transaction Costs
Article Abstract:
A general multi-commodity, multi-agent model is presented in which transaction costs are delineated as resource costs utilized in the exchange process. The model is applied to distorted market equilibrium and findings are discussed.
