A sociological view of costs of price adjustment: contributions from grounded theory methods
Article Abstract:
Costs of price adjustments cannot be measured using the existing economic theories and econometric methods. Sociological theories, on the other hand can be utilized in examining adjusment costs and pricing behavior. The importance of the impacts of social relationships, market flow and logical structures on pricing behavior is highlighted.
