A strategic model of social and economic networks
Article Abstract:
The analysis of both stylized and general social and economic network models shows that productive efficiency and stability do not necessarily go together. The two desirable characteristics can coincide after an allocation of resources to certain segments that are generally nonproductive. Such allocation follows either of two rules: the equal split and one that is a result of bargaining among participants. The models assume that participants are free to form new relationships or get out of existing ones.

Sorting equilibrium in a multi-jurisdiction model
Article Abstract:
A general model of an economy with heterogeneous individuals choosing among two jurisdictions, such as towns or political parties, is analyzed to establish sufficient conditions for existence of sorting equilibria in a two-jurisdiction model for a policy space of an arbitrary dimension. Thus, each jurisdiction is described by its constitution, including regarding where a constitution is defined as a mapping from all possible population partitions into the policy space.

The strategy-proof provision of public goods under congestion and crowding preferences
Article Abstract:
The strategy-proof provision of excludable public goods is examined when agents care about the number of other consumers. The strategy-proof and efficient social choice functions satisfying an outsider independence condition must always assign a fixed number of consumers, regardless of the individual desires to participate is shown.
