An analysis of UK franchise contracting 1989-1999
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine UK franchise contracts over the period 1989-1999 and causes behind the probability of contract change. The study reveals that the focus of attention on aggregate variables is inappropriate and that contract lengths are important aspects of the franchise contract that is theoretically obvious, but until now has not been empirically tested.

Commitment in long-term contracts
Article Abstract:
A franchising contract in a foreign courty may need to include continuous inducements to ensure the franchisee remains involved. In some countries the franchiser will not be able to use the courts to enforce a contract.
