Anomalies: ultimatums, dictators and manners
Article Abstract:
An empirical result may be considered as an anomaly in economics if it is difficult to rationalize. This result may also be considered an anomaly if implausible assumptions are needed to explain it within the paradigm. One goal of investigation of anomalies is to provide concrete evidence that will aid in developing economic theory. An investigation of anomalies is presented.
