Article Abstract:
The operators of a state-owned British nuclear reprocessing plant are criticized in an official report investigating a November incident in which radioactive sludge appeared on nearby beaches. The company may be prosecuted for unsatisfactory performance. Three criticisms of the plant resulting from the investigation are listed. Medical evidence is being evaluated in light of the presence of the nuclear plant.

Article Abstract:
Sir Walter Marshall, chairman of Britain's Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB), wants more of the nuclear-power industry in the public sector. He feels this would increase efficiency. He urges a joint venture between the CEGB and the National Nuclear Corporation (NNC).
