Why have Americans become more obese?
Article Abstract:
Based on the division of labor in food preparation, a theory is constructed, since no other developed country has experienced a higher growth rate in obesity as the United States of America. It is argued that for the vast majority of people, the price reductions in food preparations have led to welfare increases.
